Sarvesh Premkumar is a passionate and dedicated enthusiast of Carnatic music. Since 2015, he has been immersed in the art of Carnatic Percussion under the intuitive guidance of Guru Vidwan Sri T.S. Nandakumar. Through his guru’s mentorship, Sarvesh has had the privilege of performing at various concerts and Carnatic ensembles across New Jersey and the tri-state area. Notably, he was an integral part of the TSNPAC team that rehearsed and showcased their talents at the esteemed Cleveland Thyagaraja concert.
In addition to his proficiency in Mridangam, Sarvesh has also delved into the realms of Ghatham and Kanjira, displaying his versatility in ensemble performances on these instruments.
Currently a sophomore at John P Stevens High School, Sarvesh actively contributes to the JPS Band Program. He has been an enthusiastic member of the marching band for two years, skillfully playing the trumpet. In the Symphonic Band, he holds the distinguished position of second chair and remains dedicated to refining his musical abilities further.
